What does it mean to be forced into exile? What does one experience there? Is there an end to exile? And what remains of exile?

Approximately 500,000 people were forced into exile from the sphere of influence of the National Socialist dictatorship between 1933 and 1945. What they had in common was that they were marginalized and persecuted. However, the specific reasons and timing of their flight differed, as did their routes, goals, and experiences in exile.
